Active Inspire and CDs

Hello everyone,
I just logged into my computer because it was so slow today. It  literally took forever.
Today at Enrich we had Passion time! We completely changed the design of our CD cover on Active inspire. Anna and I made our own for starters and then combined some elements from each one to made an awesome one.

We also had strength based extension. We have learnt so many things that helped us make our songs better and easier to make.

See ya next week,
Tessa
P.S. See if you can solve this riddle.
I have streets but no pavement,
I have cities but no buildings,
I have forests but no trees,
I have rivers yet no water.

What am I?
I'll tell you the answer next week!!

Have you ever thought about making your own CD from Garageband?
I didn't either until I'd had a starter session with Nicola in Performance last year.

Now Anna and I are on the home straight with our passion project and we are nearly finished our own CD. We created the very last two songs for the album and make a appropriate list in order so that we didn't have many of the same genre or style together.

This afternoon we had art and I normally hate doing art because i'm such a perfectionist and I keep rubbing it out and starting again. But because we did Picasso portraits that are abstract so can't be right or wrong.
This is what they look like:

Blog ya later,

Superstar In The Making!!

Hello blog readers!
Today was my time in the limelight. Well,  not really but Anna and I did an interview for Kady and Olivia's passion project which is making the Enrich@ILT news. But getting back into my time at Enrich Anna and I started designing the CD cover for our CD of garageband songs that we have been working on. We are making it on active inspire (A program on apple computers) and are having a black background with lots of neon and bright colours covering the back and front.

We also had strength based extension with Jenni and I'm doing Garage band- of  course:)
Each week we are building our knowledge of making and using garage band to create pieces of music.
See Ya,
Tessa :)

Talofa bloggers!
So far it has been an action-packed day!
We started a new 4 week lot of sessions that we chose what we wanted to do. I chose Garageband with Paul so I could get some tips and tricks to help with Anna and I's passion project ,which is making our own album of Garageband songs. Hopefully, I can put some songs from the album on my blog for you guys to see.  We have made almost half of our songs for the album. About 6 originals and 2 remixs.
Tessa's tips and tricks we learnt:
How to change the tempo or speed of the song.
How to and where to get free apple loops for Garageband.
See ya next week,
Tessa.

Stress and Tannenbaum's Star

Do you ever dread school tests or exams or do you have something worrying you and you can't get to sleep at night?
Well here are some things that we learnt to do when we are feeling stressed and can't get things off your mind.
You can take deep breaths to calm yourself or exercise to get some fresh air and take your mind off the thing you're stressing about. Another thing is to have fun and be social and talk to people.
We also were learning about Tannenbaum's model of giftedness which is the five pointed star model. It says you have to have each thing that on each point of the star to be called gifted in a area of talent but you don't have to have equal amounts of each.

You learn something new everyday!

Howdy folks,
It is nearly the end of the day here at Enrich ILT and we have been working on our discovering your past projects. I found out that one of my Nana's cousin won a gold at the 1972 Olympics. Well they do say you learn something new every day and I did.
We also carried on with passion projects. Anna and I created 3 more of our original songs and one remix. We are really coming along with our songs. We are learning how to use Garageband and how to make songs. It's also my last blog post for the term:(

See ya after the holidays,
Tessa

Aurasma, Google, Wordle!!!

      Kia ora everyone,
Today was another busy day at Enrich. We are well under way with our passion project and just recently started our discovering your past project. I attended all of the research and presentation tool workshops with all three teachers. With paul we were looking at Aurasma, which is an app for apple and android. With Nicola we were doing quick and easy tips on researching things on google. Finally, with Katie we were learning to use wordle. I have learnt some great new research and presentation. We also had to write a mid year reflection. But least it was only 4 questions and not 4 pages like last year.
See ya next week,
Tessa:)
