Hey blog readers,
Three word stories, colour lines, unfortunately and fortunately and musical bumps. These are the names of the drama games that we played at Enrich today. I enjoyed playing these games. They were hilarious, enjoyable and fun.

In the game three word stories you have to sit beside two people and each person has to say one word and the story has to make sense.

Unfortunately and fortunately is when you  get in pairs and one person says a sentence and the other person says but fortunately blah blah blah and then the other person says but unfortunately blah blah and so then it goes on.

My favourite game was musical bumps. It is like musical statues but when the music stops you have to sit on the floor with your legs and arms crossed.

The last game was colour line. It was like a memory game. Six people stand in a line and they each have a colour and they have to say their colour out loud. Then the audience has to close their eyes while the people with colours change their order. Then someone from the audience has to try say the order and if they get it correct they get a colour and then it goes from there.
Bye everyone, have a great week:)

Caine's Arcade!!!

Hey blog readers,
Today at enrich we watched a video about this 9 year old boy called Caine and he made an arcade out of cardboard boxes. It all stared when he had to go to his dad's work for the summer holidays. He had won a small basketball hoop at a real arcade and just started making them from there. A man came to Caine's dad's shop to buy a door handle and he bought one of Caine's fun passes (which gives you 5 hundred turns) he thought this is really cool. He made a video about Caine and his arcade and posted it on YouTube and he also organised a flashmob for Caine! There was a 4 hour wait to have a turn on the games! To find out more, watch the video on YouTube. Search up Caine's Arcade.

Wilson game!

Hello everyone,
Today we had another action-packed day here at Enrich. We started off with a Wilson game called the hoop game. I really enjoyed playing it.These are the instructions:

  • you have 3 or 4 people in a team
  • you need a hoop per team and put that hoop about three meters in front of the team
  • the teams have to jump with their feet together and hold hands the hole time
  • the teams start at the same time and when the referee claps and says 'jump' they all have jump at he same time
  • the referee might trick you and say jump or they might just clap so be careful and if you fall for it your team has to go back to the start
Aim of the game:
The aim is to be the first team to get into the hoop!!!

Second day of Enrich!!

Hi everyone,
Today was the second day of Enrich for the year. We started the day off with a Wilson game called Piccadilly circus. We made a high score of 28 seconds with three balls. We also started our concept curriculum which by the way is patterns. We did a 1, 3, 6, group task where we wrote down our ideas and what we knew about patterns, then went into threes and joined our ideas together and then went into groups of six and wrote all of our ideas on a big piece of paper. Another thing we did was a, I am poem. You had to finish the sentences that were on the paper. We did this activity so that the teachers at Enrich get to know us.

Clay money boxes!!!

Hey blog readers,
Today at Enrich we painted our clay money boxes that we made a few weeks ago. I painted mine with the colours purple, light blue and white. Oh, I should have said what mine is. Well, it sort of is a despicable me minion but according to Willson, its a toaster! I don't really get how it's a toaster, but anyway. I was going to make an owl but I couldn't make the beak.

Hey blog readers,
Today at Enrich we did thinkers keys rotation. The keys were the ridiculous key, the brainstorming key and the variations key. In the ridiculous key Katie (one of the Enrich teachers) read an impossible and strange statement and we had to come up with positive things about that statement. Some of them were: you only have one day of school a week, six year olds have drivers license and that the time zone is the same around the world. I also did brainstorming were you learn to brainstorm.
